Annual Fire Alarm Testing & Inspection

Dear Residents, access is required to your apartment to test the horn strobe in your suite. This is mandatory under the Alberta Fire Code. Alarm bells will ring during the test period.

Testing the Fire Alarm System & inspecting the alarm devices in each apartment has been scheduled as follows:

Building #1000 and #2000 – Wednesday, January 11th 2017

Between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Building 1000 will start at 8:30 am.

Building 2000 will start at 1:00 pm.

It has been arranged with PDS Fire Protection Inc. to enter and check every apartment. If you will not be home please leave a key with a neighbour, Security Marshals (Located in 1000 Building Lobby) or arrange to have a relative or friend be in the suite for the inspection. Kindly leave a note on your door as to which unit holds your keys if you are not home.

The Board of Directors will NOT be collecting keys on behalf of absent Owners for this inspection. We ask you to please make your own arrangements or use the Security Company provided.

It is imperative that we have access to your apartment. Security Marshals will be on site from 7:30am until 6:00pm to hold keys for any apartments that wish to drop off keys to them. Please only drop off 1 key clearly labelled for your suite. They will be located in the 1000 building Lobby.

If arrangements have not been made or keys dropped off, we will have a Lock Smith on standby to either open or replace the lock to gain access to units and all charges will be passed back to the Unit. Security Marshals will also hold onto any keys for Locks that need to be replaced. To contact Security Marshals for keys please call: 403-466-4000. They will not be available after 6:00pm.

Entry is permitted under Bylaw 3 (b) DUTIES OF THE OWNERS

An Owner shall: (b) permit the Corporation and its agents, at all reasonable times on notice (except in case of emergency when no notice is required), to enter his Unit and the Building thereon for the purpose of inspecting the Unit and Managed Property and maintaining, repairing or renewing pipes, wires, cables, light standards, ducts, conduits, plumbing, sewers and other facilities.
